You will receive an instant booking confirmation by email, along with instructions to download the Lockit Local app. The app gives you secure, keyless access to your storage unit and helps you manage your booking from your phone.

Lockit Local offers Enhanced Liability Cover under StoreProtect to protect the contents of your storage unit. You can choose the level of cover that best suits the value of the items you are storing when you make your booking.

If you already have suitable contents insurance that covers belongings kept in self-storage, you may be able to use this instead. You will need to provide proof of your cover when booking your unit.

Our minimum rental period is one month. After that, you can stay as long as you like, and leave any time with at least 7 days' notice.

Yes. Lockit Local’s Shepherd’s Bush storage hub is protected by 24-hour CCTV monitoring, controlled digital access and individual alarms on every storage unit.

Access to the site and your unit is managed through the Lockit Local app, using secure digital keys. This means entry is controlled and recorded, with no shared physical keys or open access to the facility.

Lockit Local uses secure digital keys through the Lockit Local app, so there are no physical keys, padlocks or reception check-ins.

When you arrive at the site, open the app and move within Bluetooth range of the relevant access point, such as the entrance gate, building door or your storage unit. You can then use your digital key to unlock it securely through the app.

Your digital key is linked to your account, helping ensure that only authorised users can enter.

We ask for ID verification to keep our community safe. It ensures that everyone who accesses our storage spaces is who they say they are just like you'd expect from a trustworthy neighbour.

Security is a top priority for us. Our facilities are equipped with advanced security measures, including CCTV, 24/7 surveillance, smart access control systems, and individual unit alarms to ensure the safety of your belongings. Only you have access to your space, so your belongings are safe with us.

While we do not currently offer walk-in viewings, you can explore our Shepherd’s Bush site online through our 3D visualisations to get a clear sense of the layout and available unit sizes.
